You will drive high-impact projects to build and enhance Lyft's mapping and routing systems, ensuring a seamless pickup/dropoff experience for millions of riders and drivers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver scalable solutions that directly influence the product.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of software engineering industry experience
• Experience designing and running fault-tolerant, large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with databases (relational or NoSQL)

Responsibilities

• Drive high-impact projects and innovate new solutions for customer experiences
• Lead backend and cross-functional projects for long-term goals and short-term roadmaps
• Own systems and components, ensuring short-term functionality and long-term health
• Participate in code and architecture reviews to ensure code quality
• Mentor others and promote engineering best practices
