💼 About This Role

You'll lead engagement with the U.S. Department of Defense and national security stakeholders to advance Vast's commercial space station initiatives. You'll drive policy, partnership, and advocacy strategies for the world’s leading commercial space stations. This role offers the chance to shape defense and space policy at a pioneering space station company.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute DoD engagement strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Build relationships with U.S. Space Force, Air Force, SDA, DIU.
  • Monitor defense policy, legislation, and appropriations for impact.
  • Support DoD contracting opportunities and partnership development.

📋 Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience in government affairs.
  • Experience working on DoD space programs and policies.
  • Experience with government contracting and procurement.
  • Experience with Congressional appropriations and NDAA process.
