Description

As a wireless firmware engineer on the Starlink Mobile program, you will develop novel signal processing algorithms and optimized software for satellites and ground stations to enable global cellular connectivity. You'll work closely with systems engineers to accelerate wireless PHY development and debug complex interdisciplinary challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in CS, CE, EE, or STEM
• 5+ years experience in wireless signal processing, modem systems, wireless systems engineering, DSP, or PHY layer processing
• 5+ years of C/C++ coding experience
• Familiarity with 3GPP 4G/5G physical layer or broadband OFDM waveforms (WiMAX, 802.11 WiFi, DVB-S2, DVB-C, 5G NTN)
• Experience with SDR, Linux, git, and Python

Responsibilities

• Design and implement physical layer (PHY) algorithms for satellite-based 4G/5G (LTE/NR) eNodeB/gNodeB
• Develop optimized signal processing algorithms on resource-constrained CPUs
• Model and simulate system and modem performance
• Design, implement, test, and maintain wireless PHY and MAC protocol stack layers
• Identify and debug complex performance issues across PHY and MAC layers
