Description

As a Propulsion Systems Engineer at Rocket Lab, you will take system-level ownership of space systems propulsion and fluidic development, driving technical development, managing requirements, and working hands-on with flight hardware to support cutting-edge civil, commercial, and defense missions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, or related)
• 5+ years (Level I) or 8+ years (Level II) of aerospace engineering experience
• Experience with end-to-end rocket engine or spacecraft propulsion system development
• Experience with propulsion systems using storable propellants (electrical and chemical)
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Manage technical risk and own project requirements
• Design, analyze, test, and fly next-generation propulsion and fluidics hardware
• Report on design, analysis, and test findings
• Support manufacturing teams with design for manufacturability and issue resolution
• Communicate with vendors to ensure system requirements are met
