Description
You will design and operate rocket engine test stands for Terran R engines and stages, working hands-on with large-scale systems. You'll participate in daily test operations, maintenance, construction, and commissioning activities, collaborating with experienced engineers and technicians to flight qualify hardware.
Requirements
- Background in aviation, automotive, manufacturing, offshore operations, industrial systems, or construction preferred
- Ability to work hands-on with large-scale, complex systems
- Strong collaboration skills across teams including technicians and operators
- Experience with fluids P&IDs, component lists, and detailed work instructions (for design focus)
- Entry level position
Responsibilities
- Design advanced propulsion test stands including 3D modeling, fluids, structural, and thermal analysis
- Supervise construction, commissioning, and initial operations of test facilities
- Conduct test campaigns to flight qualify hardware
- Support daily test operations, maintenance, and improvements on existing test stands
- Solve technical problems across broad ranges of timeframe, complexity, cost, and long-term impact
