Description

You will design and deploy cutting-edge NLP, speech, and generative AI models at massive scale on the Roblox platform, tackling problems from real-time content moderation to localization and LLM-driven creation tools. This role bridges research and production, giving you end-to-end responsibility for scalable ML services that shape the future of human interaction.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science or related field with thesis aligned to Roblox research areas
• Expertise in NLP, Speech Models, LLMs, Machine Translation, or Generative AI
• Experience with transformer-based model design, training, serving, and product integration
• Strong research track record with publications in top-tier venues (ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Go, or Java and large-scale system optimization

Responsibilities

• Design and implement deep learning-based NLP and speech solutions for creation and safety
• Develop advanced models including LLMs, machine translation, and generative AI
• Build scalable and resilient NLP/ML services with end-to-end ownership
• Set technical bar for ML technology, code quality, and architectural designs
• Work backward from user and product needs to deliver ML solutions driving engagement and safety
