Description

As an EMC/EMI Test Specialist, you'll perform emissions and immunity testing on electrical systems for SpaceX's fleet of vehicles, ensuring avionics hardware performs in harsh electromagnetic environments. You'll operate test equipment, design fixtures, and document results to support critical space missions.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in electronics or 2+ years direct work experience in electronics
• 3+ years experience testing consumer electronics or electrical hardware
• 3+ years experience fabricating test fixtures, harnesses, and electro-mechanical assemblies
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Experience with EMC standards such as FCC Part 15, MIL-STD-461, or DO-160G

Responsibilities

• Perform EMC/EMI emissions and immunity testing of electrical systems and components
• Design and fabricate electro-mechanical assemblies, harnesses, and test fixtures from conceptual drawings
• Operate spectrum analyzer, VNA, power meter, high-power amplifier, and oscilloscope
• Perform antenna and shielding effectiveness measurements
• Troubleshoot complex problems independently with minimal direction
