Description

You will influence the security of software across SpaceX's product lines, focusing on Starlink's satellite internet system. Design and build security infrastructure, develop security features for routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites, and improve the security posture of production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM; OR 2+ years professional security software development
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR)

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic and security-critical services
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites)
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services
• Maintain existing production systems and improve security posture
• Build prototypes to identify, design, and test security improvements
