Description

You will design, deploy, and operate large-scale optical transport networks for high-density, latency-sensitive infrastructure. Work at the intersection of DWDM and IP/MPLS layers, handling end-to-end lifecycle management and troubleshooting complex cross-layer issues.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in DWDM systems including wavelength routing, optical amplification, and dispersion management
• Solid understanding of IP/MPLS fundamentals including BGP, OSPF, or IS-IS, and MPLS signaling
• Hands-on experience with production platforms (Ciena, Infinera, ADVA)
• Ability to perform end-to-end lifecycle management and drive root cause analysis
• Experience with Python automation for optical networks

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate DWDM-based transport networks across long-haul and metro environments
• Perform wavelength provisioning, optical power tuning, and amplification design (EDFA/Raman)
• Troubleshoot cross-layer issues spanning optical transport and IP/MPLS networks
• Execute fiber characterization and fault isolation using OTDR, OSA, and BERT tools
• Develop and maintain Python-based automation for optical health checks and telemetry
