Description

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will take primary responsibility for developing the turbopump assembly for the Archimedes engine, translating designs into production-ready processes. You'll contribute to design reviews with manufacturing expertise, implement tooling and equipment, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with assembly technicians to optimize quality, delivery, and cost.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering
• 5+ years (Sr I) or 8+ years (Sr II) in heavy development manufacturing environment
• Understanding of fluid and structural mechanics fundamentals
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for aerospace materials
• Experience with turbopump or turbomachinery design, testing, and development (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design reviews as a design for manufacture and productivity expert
• Design, develop, and implement production tooling and equipment
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction projects
• Lead Value Stream Mapping, method of manufacture plans, and cell design
• Interface with quality team to resolve manufacturing issues and lead root cause investigations
