💼 About This Role

You'll join the propulsion team at Varda Space Industries, working on fluid systems for spacecraft orbital maneuvers and earth reentry. You'll own or contribute to hardware design, test campaigns, and analysis to support the development of in-space manufacturing infrastructure. This internship offers exposure across the full design and manufacturing lifecycle of a space vehicle system.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own or contribute to hardware or software design for spacecraft or payload
• Create or support test campaigns and build test stands
• Perform necessary analysis to support development and testing

📋 Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering (Materials Science, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, or similar)
• Completed coursework in at least one of: Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Compressible Flow, or Combustion
• Familiarity with engineering design software such as NX/Teamcenter, GD&T, Matlab/Python
• Prior hands-on experience building or testing fluid systems

✨ Nice to Have

• Previous internship or co-op experience
• Experience on technical project teams (e.g., rocket club, formula SAE)
• Completion of a Propulsion or Rocket Propulsion survey course
