Description
You'll provide high-quality, specialized infusion therapy in an outpatient setting, overseeing patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. You'll deliver personalized, compassionate care to patients with chronic conditions, making a meaningful impact on their lives. Your role includes conducting patient assessments, educating patients and families, and ensuring compliance with clinical standards.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and Registered Nurse (RN) license if required by the state
- Board certification from AANP or ANCC
- BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
- Background in an ambulatory infusion center, outpatient specialty clinic, or similar setting is a plus
- Ability to treat both adults and pediatrics—Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred
- Strong IV and infusion therapy skills with experience in specialty biologics, medication management, and emergency response protocols
- Proficiency in clinical documentation with experience in EHR systems and understanding of HIPAA and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care with on-site and virtual supervision while administering infusions and injections
- Conduct patient assessments, perform evaluations, document SOAP notes, and monitor treatment responses
- Educate and support patients and families through treatment expectations, potential side effects, and disease management
- Ensure compliance and quality by maintaining accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, reviewing nursing documentation, and upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Optimize clinical workflows by assisting with chart preparation and treatment planning to streamline patient visits
- Collaborate with healthcare teams by working closely with referring providers and cross-functional teams to enhance care coordination
- Support operations and training by assisting in inventory management, prior authorizations, and regulatory adherence
- Work at multiple facilities within a designated market as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support patient care and organizational objectives
