💼 About This Role

You'll join the TechOps/SRE team at The Economist Group, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Software teams to ensure real-time visibility into infrastructure and applications. You'll troubleshoot and resolve incidents across frontend, backend, and database layers, automate alert configurations using Infrastructure-as-Code, and improve system resilience through incident response automation. This role offers access to innovative tools like NewRelic/Grafana and a collaborative environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across frontend, backend, and database layers.
• Integrate monitoring solutions with various tech stacks using webhooks and metric streaming.
• Automate alert configurations and monitoring infrastructure using IaC frameworks.
• Write, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for deployments using CircleCI, GitHub Actions, etc.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in Cloud Operations/DevOps.
• 5+ years in a production environment supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications.
• Strong scripting expertise using OOP languages such as Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• Professional experience in cloud platforms (AWS strongly preferred).

• Proven experience writing IaC using tools like AWS CDK or CDK for Terraform.
• Experience with container orchestration (ECS, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
• An advanced degree in software/data engineering or related field.
