Description

You will architect, build, and implement AI platforms for healthcare data, developing state-of-the-art GenAI models and systems like Abacus Agents, MCP, and RAG. You'll lead cross-functional teams, drive strategic AI initiatives, and scale the engineering organization.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of ML/AI engineering experience in high-velocity, high-growth companies.
• Alternatively, strong academic background in ML/AI research.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a software developer.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Databricks, Mosaic AI Gateway and associated technologies.
• Strong track record with language modeling and GenAI (e.g., fine-tuning, RAG, agents).
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and scalable ML/AI architecture.
• Ability to drive end-to-end model and system development from research to deployment.
• Strong coding and software engineering skills (testing, code reviews, deployment).
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems for data processing (10s–100s of TB).
• Breadth and depth of software and AI development for technical discussions.
• Solid understanding of product management, project management, and client delivery.
• Proven record of leading engineering teams towards production-grade systems.

Responsibilities

• Help shape the direction of applied AI areas and intelligence features in products.
• Drive deployment of state-of-the-art AI models and systems impacting product capabilities.
• Develop novel data collection, fine-tuning, and LLM technologies.
• Design and implement ML/AI pipelines for preprocessing, feature engineering, training, and evaluation.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful AI solutions.
• Build scalable backend systems for GenAI products.
• Develop logging, telemetry, and evaluation harnesses for reliable performance.
• Drive critical projects in AI, data engineering, development productivity, and benchmarking.
• Participate in software architectural discussions and collaborate with peers.
• Identify and implement process improvements for Agile/Scrum teams.
• Communicate organizational updates and ensure adherence to policies.
• Coach and mentor development team members.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards.
