You'll act as the embedded accounting domain expert on Spotify's Financial Engineering team, shaping the systems that power our subledger and accounting lifecycle. You'll bridge complex accounting requirements with scalable system design, partnering closely with engineers and finance partners. This role offers the chance to standardize accounting flows at a global scale.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Guide system design to embed accounting best practices and controls.
• Translate complex accounting requirements into structured system inputs.
• Partner with engineers and product teams on accrual and reconciliation flows.
• Analyze existing accounting flows to separate core requirements from legacy constraints.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operational or technical accounting at a medium to large organization.
• Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting and subledger processes.
• Experience partnering with technical teams and communicating accounting concepts in systems context.
• Comfortable in data-driven or system-heavy environments.

• Experience with NetSuite.
• Interest in developing technical skillset and working more closely with engineering.
