Description

You will design, maintain, and ensure the reliability of Netskope's global DNS infrastructure, managing authoritative and recursive DNS services, implementing DNSSEC, and contributing to scalability and security. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DNS systems engineering
• Expertise with BIND and PowerDNS
• Proficiency in configuration management tools (SaltStack, Ansible)
• Experience with Prometheus monitoring and alerting
• Bachelors degree required; Masters strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage authoritative and recursive DNS infrastructure using BIND and PowerDNS
• Implement and maintain DNSSEC, RPZ, zone transfers, and performance tuning
• Develop configuration management with SaltStack/Ansible, automate tasks, and ensure infrastructure as code
• Monitor DNS health using Prometheus and custom exporters; troubleshoot complex DNS issues
• Participate in on-call rotation and conduct non-functional testing for performance and resiliency
