Description

You will design, improve, and maintain the core package set for software distribution across Anduril Industries, using Nix to enable development, hosted services, and embedded devices. You'll create internal tooling, establish standards, plan architectural changes, and support users while mentoring other team members.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Nix, Nixpkgs, NixOS, and functional programming
• Deep understanding of build systems and packaging ecosystems
• Ability to dive into large and complicated systems and improve them with Nix
• Experience with Rust, C++, Go, Python, or Haskell
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Maintain an internal package set for software distribution across the company
• Package open-source and proprietary software components using Nix
• Improve developer ergonomics by defining Nix usage standards and creating tooling
• Integrate Nix with developer workflows
• Provide assistance, training, and mentorship to other team members
