Description

You will work in a hybrid Systems Engineer/Software Developer role, building and maintaining streaming monitoring tooling, high-performance packet and flow analysis systems, and automation frameworks for Jump's global trading infrastructure. You'll drive reliability by designing alerting and observability, and perform deep-dive debugging on low-level performance issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with Python and Go
• Strong experience with Linux
• Knowledge of streaming systems architecture and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Working knowledge of Rust, C/C++
• Experience with big data stores (Bigtable, Clickhouse, Cassandra) and time series databases

Responsibilities

• Architect and build streaming monitoring tooling and real-time packet/flow analysis systems
• Maintain configuration management and automation frameworks
• Take ops-first approach to improve platform quality and efficiency
• Design alerting and observability for team and business requirements
• Debug low-level performance issues in complex software stacks
