💼 About This Role

You'll apply advanced technical expertise to support engineering research, development, and manufacturing through hands-on materials testing and precision fabrication at a fusion power company. You'll independently execute complex test workflows, configure equipment, and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality results. You'll also mentor junior Technologists and collaborate with engineers to translate test requirements into reliable setups.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot materials testing and analytical equipment.
• Execute test plans in accordance with ASTM standards or develop custom methodologies.
• Configure and validate test setups for accurate, repeatable results.
• Design and fabricate fixtures and components to support testing needs.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience operating mechanical testing systems and analytical instrumentation.
• Strong proficiency in materials testing equipment and imaging tools.
• Extensive hands-on fabrication experience, including fixture design and precision measurement.
• Demonstrated ability to execute structured test workflows and produce reliable data.

• Experience in controlled, high-risk, or radiological environments.
• Familiarity with ASTM standards and custom test methodology development.
• Experience mentoring junior technologists.
