๐ผ About This Role
You'll design and evolve systems that improve the reliability and performance of WorkOS, a platform powering enterprise features for fast-growing AI companies like OpenAI and Vercel. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure services are production-ready, observable, and resilient, defining SLIs/SLOs and leading incident response. This early role on the SRE team offers the chance to shape reliability at scale for a well-funded, high-growth company.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Design and evolve systems and tooling to improve reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure services are production-ready and resilient.
- Define and measure SLIs/SLOs to guide reliability improvements.
- Write and optimize backend systems in TypeScript.
- Improve incident response process and lead postmortems.
๐ Requirements
- Experience operating and scaling production systems in cloud environments, specifically AWS.
- Familiarity with service reliability concepts such as monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Comfort working across infrastructure layers including compute, networking, and storage.
- Strong debugging and systems thinking skills to trace problems across services.
โจ Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems.
- Exposure to observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Experience with TypeScript or interest in working in a TypeScript codebase.
