Description

You will design and build scalable, fault-tolerant data infrastructure and real-time processing pipelines at Affirm, leveraging technologies like Kafka, Flink, and Spark to handle massive data volumes across distributed systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years industry experience building large-scale production systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming solutions
• Experience building and operating robust, highly available infrastructure
• Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or Kotlin
• Experience leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers

Responsibilities

• Design and build data infrastructure systems, services, and tools for new products and business requirements
• Build and optimize high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines for critical applications
• Build frameworks and services used by engineering teams to manage billions in loans
• Improve reliability and efficiency of the Data Platform at scale
• Collaborate with ML and Analytics teams to deliver streaming solutions
