Description

This 0-to-1 role builds AI/ML capabilities for Samsara's supply chain, owning demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supplier risk modeling end-to-end. You'll develop and deploy models using diverse data sources, directly improving efficiency and sustainability across global operations.

Requirements

• Deep technical IC with strong ML and statistical modeling skills
• Experience with demand forecasting, inventory optimization, or supply chain analytics
• Proven ability to build end-to-end ML systems in production
• Comfortable with ambiguity and strategic thinking
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML/statistical models for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supplier risk
• Own full ML lifecycle: modeling, MLOps, deployment, monitoring
• Analyze ERP, IoT sensor streams, and operational data to build production systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance
• Shape the team's roadmap, scientific agenda, and modeling standards
