💼 About This Role

You'll lead production quality and manufacturing engineering for Biofire's smartgun, ensuring every product meets high performance standards. You'll scale in-house manufacturing from prototype to volume production, driving continuous improvement. This role offers autonomy and the chance to build a production organization from the ground up.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead and develop a team of manufacturing and quality engineers
• Drive product quality improvements via repeatable processes and standards
• Own end-to-end development of manufacturing capabilities and equipment
• Establish KPIs and analyze data to implement process improvements

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in production quality and manufacturing engineering
• Track record of scaling production from prototype to volume
• Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, or medical device manufacturing
• Expertise in design-for-manufacturability and process validation

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with automation and vision systems
• Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, and quality standards
• Capital planning and resource allocation experience
