💼 About This Role

You'll join the Simulator Team at Waymo, building state-of-the-art simulations for testing and training the autonomous Waymo Driver. You'll design and develop C++ software systems for realistic world generation, directly impacting the safety and reliability of autonomous driving technology. This role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge ML and simulation at a leader in self-driving cars.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and develop C++ software systems for world generation platform
• Work with simulation, onboard, and system engineers on critical features
• Monitor and improve performance, scalability, and reliability of platform
• Design long-term system architecture with other engineers

📋 Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• Strong professional experience developing modern C++ production software
• 5+ years of solid coding and design skills
• 5+ years of experience with backend technologies, workflows, databases, and production monitoring

✨ Nice to Have

• Working experience with ML and Generative AI models
• Some experience with large-scale data processing using Google Data Flow or Apache Beam
• Experience developing user-facing APIs and interfaces
