Description

You will design, develop, and deliver cloud-based infrastructure projects using a modern tech stack. You'll own shared services like search, cache, and async job management, ensuring they scale reliably with Okta's growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years object-oriented programming experience (Java) in backend services
• 7+ years experience with MySQL or equivalent relational databases
• Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Tomcat
• Knowledge of AWS, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Docker
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver cloud infrastructure projects (Redis, Elasticsearch, Docker, Terraform on AWS)
• Drive evaluation, development, and rollout of new common microservices
• Operate, support, and upgrade shared services and frameworks, scaling as usage grows
• Assist with design and code reviews, ensure high standards via unit and functional tests
• Collaborate with architects, QA, product owners, security, and operations engineers
