💼 About This Role

You'll own the design strategy for Back Market's purchase experience, leading a team of 4 designers. You'll partner with Product and Engineering to co-own the vision and make complex trade-offs that improve conversion and user satisfaction. As a certified B Corp with a mission to make refurbished tech irresistible, you'll help prevent over 1 million tons of carbon emissions.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and execute vision and design strategy for purchase experience
• Roll up sleeves on critical projects blending strategy and hands-on craft
• Champion design quality and user-centricity in trade-off conversations
• Model empathetic, positive, proactive, and rebellious leadership

📋 Requirements

• Design leadership experience managing distributed teams of 3+ direct reports
• Expertise in e-commerce or marketplace purchase experiences
• Track record of leveraging AI in your work and your team's work
• Hands-on experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and data-driven design

• Hands-on experience with purchase funnel optimization
• Fluency with modern design tools (Figma, prototyping, AI tooling)
