💼 About This Role

You'll join Rocket Lab's Space Systems team in Long Beach, CA, contributing to structural analysis and design validation for advanced spacecraft and components. You'll define loads and environments, perform simulations, and validate performance through testing. This role offers the chance to work on missions to the Moon and Mars.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define, process, and interpret static and dynamic ground test flight data
• Perform structural analyses of primary and secondary vehicle structures
• Perform structural and dynamic simulations (static, modal, random vibration, etc.)
• Work closely with design and test engineers to iterate design concepts

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other engineering discipline
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
• For Engineer II: 2+ years structural analysis experience in aerospace

✨ Nice to Have

• Master's or PhD in engineering
• Active security clearance
• Experience with additive manufactured parts or composites
