💼 About This Role

You'll lead Wayve's Japan public policy strategy, shaping regulatory pathways and securing relationships with national and local stakeholders. You'll ensure alignment of product, safety, and commercial strategies with Japan's regulatory environment. This role is central to delivering tangible outcomes for AV2.0 testing and deployment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and own Japan public policy strategy and execution plan
• Lead engagement with central government, agencies, and legislators
• Advocate for regulatory approaches enabling safe testing and deployment
• Monitor policy developments and provide analysis to senior leadership

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in public policy or government affairs
• Native or near-native Japanese and fluent English
• Based in Tokyo or Yokohama
• Deep knowledge of Japan's policy and regulatory processes for transport and emerging tech
