💼 About This Role

You'll join the Datastore Team, designing and operating large-scale distributed data platforms that underpin Smarsh's enterprise applications. You'll own complex initiatives end-to-end, ensuring reliability, scalability, and automation across petabyte-scale environments. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge data technologies and mentor junior engineers.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and operate clusters for MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and Apache Kafka
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot distributed systems issues across multi-cluster environments
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure roles
• Production experience with MongoDB, Kafka, or ElasticSearch
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming language
• Experience with Terraform and major cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tooling like Helm and ArgoCD
• Contributions to internal platform APIs or automation tooling
• Exposure to regulated environments
