💼 About This Role

You'll own regulatory certification for Base's battery and solar products, guiding them from design to market. You'll work cross-functionally to embed compliance early, manage test plans, and shape strategy. This role offers high ownership and influence over product compliance.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own relationships with NRTLs and standards bodies
• Define compliance requirements early in design cycle
• Plan and execute hardware evaluation and certification testing
• Track regulatory changes and advocate for Base's interests

📋 Requirements

• UL 1741, UL 9540, UL 1973, and IEEE 1547 familiarity
• National Electrical Code (NEC) knowledge for energy storage
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related
• Grid-tied system certification from concept to market

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with solar/PV compliance standards (UL 3741, etc.)
• Familiarity with FCC Part 15 EMI compliance
• Participation in standards development working groups
