At OpenSea, you'll architect and scale event-driven backend systems for the next generation of digital asset exchange, building infrastructure that processes billions daily. You'll lead core features of OpenSea 2.0, shaping architecture with high throughput and low latency. This role offers high ownership on a remote-first, AI-empowered team.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Form and execute technical vision for scalable event-driven architecture
• Write low-latency marketplace infrastructure including blockchain indexing systems
• Build order management systems and REST/WebSocket APIs at scale
• Mentor team members and drive architectural best practices

📋 Requirements

• At least 6 years of software engineering experience
• Strong fluency in event-driven system design patterns (Kafka, Flink, Debezium)
• Strong fluency in JVM languages like Kotlin or Java
• Strong fluency in database schema design for high-performance applications
