💼 About This Role

You'll own the design, implementation, and evolution of monitoring and observability across Deel's cloud-native SaaS platform. Your work will ensure high system reliability, performance visibility, and cost-efficient monitoring at scale. This role combines hands-on Kubernetes and AWS expertise with deep knowledge of metrics, logs, traces, and SLO-driven practices.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and maintain scalable observability solutions for cloud-native environments
• Manage monitoring across AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) environments
• Operate self-hosted monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo)
• Optimize DataDog metrics, logs, APM, alerts, and costs

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years in monitoring/observability engineering within cloud-native environments
• Strong experience with AWS services and 5+ years with Kubernetes
• Proven experience operating self-hosted monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Experience with DataDog (metrics, logs, APM, alerts, cost monitoring)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions
