Description

You will lead the design, development, and integration of motors/generators for ocean energy nodes. This involves end-to-end ownership from concept through deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams on electromagnetics, thermal management, and manufacturing. You'll prototype, build, and troubleshoot alongside engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering
• 5+ years experience in mechanical design of rotating electrical machines
• Knowledge of e-motor design, operation, testing, and reliability
• Expert in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
• Hands-on experience with integration, assembly, and troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and integration of generator/motor systems
• Define system-level performance requirements and design goals
• Iterate mechanical designs for electromagnetic, acoustic, and thermal behavior
• Perform structural, modal, and fatigue analysis using FEA tools
• Conduct root cause analysis and iterate designs based on test data
