Description

You will lead the architecture and evolution of large-scale ML systems for speech and language models, driving production-grade features across Otter's conversational AI products. You'll own end-to-end ML lifecycles from research to deployment, collaborating with product and infrastructure teams to deliver measurable impact.

Requirements

• BS/MS in CS or related field with 10+ years industry experience; PhD preferred
• Hands-on experience building and fine-tuning large language or foundation models (ASR, TTS, LLM/NLP)
• Strong command of modern ML research, with ability to evaluate production-worthiness
• Experience deploying and scaling ML systems in production with trade-offs across cost, latency, and reliability
• Comfortable with large-scale speech and conversational datasets, including preprocessing and quality analysis

Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve large-scale SID/ASR/NLP/LLM systems for summarization, chat, and speech understanding
• Lead design and implementation of training, fine-tuning, and inference strategies for large speech and language models
• Own end-to-end ML system lifecycles from research prototyping to production deployment and monitoring
• Partner with product and infrastructure teams to translate research into scalable production systems
• Mentor engineers, set technical direction, and shape team standards
