You'll partner with the Sales team to articulate the Datadog value proposition, own technical engagement during trials, and technically close complex opportunities. You'll provide technical expertise through sales presentations and product demonstrations. This role combines deep technical skill with customer-facing strategy.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Give product demonstrations and technical briefings to potential clients
- Own technical engagement during customer trial phases
- Maintain accurate customer feedback in CRM
- Partner with sales to qualify and close opportunities
๐ Requirements
- 3+ years in Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering
- Programming/scripting experience with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, etc.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate technical and business value
- Willingness to travel up to 45% of the time
โจ Nice to Have
- Experience with observability or monitoring tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role
