Description

You will fabricate and assemble test equipment and mechanical assemblies, working closely with engineers to support R&D testing of spacecraft designs. This role involves operating machine shop equipment, building high-pressure fluid systems, and performing precision assembly tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 1+ years of experience in mechanical fabrication
• Ability to work at elevated heights and lift up to 30 lbs unassisted
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and travel up to 10%
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (ITAR)

Responsibilities

• Fabricate metallic piece parts using mill, lathe, etc.
• Assemble test equipment including precision match drilling, welding, riveting
• Assemble large mechanical assemblies with heavy lift operations
• Fabricate and assemble high-pressure pneumatic and hydraulic fluid systems
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and fluid/electrical schematics
