Description

As a hospice volunteer, you will provide companionship, emotional support, and assistance with home management tasks to clients and their families. You can also contribute through specialty areas like music, art, or pet therapy, and support bereavement efforts. This role allows you to make a meaningful difference in people's lives during end-of-life care.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Criminal background check as per state requirements
• Meet all state requirements for volunteers
• Meet BAYADA requirements and state regulations if providing professional services

Responsibilities

• Assistance with home management tasks
• Providing companionship and friendship to clients
• Providing caregiver relief
• Specialty volunteering (veteran support, Reiki, massage, pet therapy, music, art, etc.)
