Description

You will operate and maintain boiler systems for macadamia processing, ensuring a consistent supply of steam and hot water within required temperature ranges. You will conduct preventive maintenance, optimize energy efficiency, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. As a food safety team member, you'll ensure operations comply with FSMS and SHEQ standards.

Requirements

Certificate in mechanical, electrical, or production engineering from a recognized institution
Boiler operator certification from NITA
1+ years of experience with complex steam, hot water, and compressed air systems in manufacturing
Knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality regulations
Experience in managing a team

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor boiler systems to provide consistent steam and hot water for macadamia drying at 38-44°C
Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on steam, water, and compressed air systems
Adjust system settings to maximize energy efficiency and propose process improvements
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues promptly to prevent production bottlenecks
Maintain accurate logs of fuel consumption, water levels, maintenance, and repairs
