Description

You will lead DFM efforts to optimize product designs for seamless production and cost reduction, bridging the gap between design and manufacturing teams. Collaborate cross-functionally, develop DFM best practices, and mentor junior engineers while driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's in mechanical engineering or related field
• 8+ years in design engineering, 4+ focused on DFM in senior/lead capacity
• Proficiency in CAD (NX, SolidWorks) and DFM analysis tools
• Strong understanding of injection molding, CNC machining, PCB assembly, and quality control
• Experience with root cause analysis (Six Sigma or Lean) and leadership mentoring

Responsibilities

• Lead DFM reviews and provide feedback to enhance manufacturability and reduce costs
• Integrate DFM principles early in development cycle with cross-functional teams
• Develop and implement DFM guidelines, tools, and best practices
• Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend optimizations using simulation and data
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure designs meet production requirements
