You will lead a globally distributed team of engineers to adapt Ubuntu and open source products for automotive and industrial requirements, ensuring compliance with standards like ISO 26262 and ISO 21434. You'll represent Canonical in industry consortia, define the engineering roadmap, and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering, Linux, and open source background
- Knowledge of automotive standards ISO21434, ISO26262, SOTIF, IEC 61508
- Experience in C/C++ and Python programming
- Experience managing and mentoring software developers
- Track record of timely delivery and high quality software
Responsibilities
- Refine vision and strategy for automotive with Product Management
- Define and execute engineering roadmap for automotive team
- Represent Ubuntu in automotive community, customers, and consortia
- Lead a globally distributed team of engineers
- Develop skills through coaching, feedback, and hands-on leadership
