Description

As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Roku, you'll own the electrical design of new products like streaming players and remotes, collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing on-site support to manufacturing partners in Asia. Your work will directly impact the quality and performance of hardware used by millions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hardware engineering experience in embedded system design
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering
• Proven track record of shipping high-volume consumer electronics
• Proficiency with OrCAD and Altium design suites; expert knowledge of PCB layout for high-speed designs
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; capable of working autonomously during Asia business hours

Responsibilities

• Own electrical system design (BOM, schematics, PCB) for new products
• Collaborate with US-based software, mechanical, and program management teams
• Select and qualify components based on performance, cost, and availability
• Plan and lead hardware validation through EVT, DVT, PVT phases
• Provide on-site factory support for test setup, failure analysis, and yield improvement
