💼 About This Role

You'll design and build net new data pipelines and systems for CookUnity's Engineering Foundation team. You'll set best practices and patterns for the entire data engineering org to adopt. This is a rare opportunity to work at a rapid growth scaleup and rebuild key components of our system for graceful scaling and reduced complexity.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build net new resilient batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Build data pipelines for migration from existing data models to new ones.
• Champion data reliability with proactive monitoring and quality-first practices.
• Optimize data models for fast, efficient decision-making.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience.
• Proficient in Java, Scala, or Python with deep expertise in data processing.
• Proven track record designing and operating robust distributed data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Spark, Flink, Kafka).
• Demonstrable experience building and optimizing real-time and batch data pipelines.

• Experience designing data architectures for experimentation.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, containers).
• Past experience in a rapid growth company or startup.
