💼 About This Role

You'll architect and develop AI-powered applications for translational research and scientific operations, including RAG systems, agentic pipelines, and platform services. A core part of this role is working directly with non-technical clients to gather requirements and deliver solutions. You'll own technical components end-to-end, mentor junior engineers, and drive measurable improvements in system quality.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain AI applications in Python.
• Design retrieval pipelines including embedding and vector search.
• Build document ingestion and parsing pipelines for scientific documents.
• Integrate structured knowledge with unstructured text for AI outputs.
• Develop shared platform services like model gateways and authentication.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years professional software development experience.
• Python proficiency for application development and scripting.
• Experience building RAG systems with embeddings and vector search.
• Experience integrating LLMs into production with agent frameworks.
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with document parsing for scientific documents.
• Familiarity with knowledge graphs and RDF/SPARQL.
• Experience with agent-tool integration frameworks like MCP.
• Experience with LLM observability and evaluation tooling.
