💼 About This Role

You'll own the AI Security program at Plata, partnering with product, infrastructure, and ML teams to make AI adoption safe by design. Your work will be hands-on building controls and advisory shaping policy, roughly equally. This role blends DevSecOps foundations with an AI-first focus.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and maintain AI security standards and acceptable-use policies.
• Threat-model and secure LLM-powered product features against prompt injection.
• Set access boundaries and data-scope policies for internal AI tools and agents.
• Evaluate AI vendors for data residency, model provenance, and supply-chain risks.

📋 Requirements

• 2+ years in DevSecOps or Cloud Security with demonstrable AI security work.
• Working knowledge of LLM application security (prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage).
• Hands-on experience with Python for building guardrails and integrations.
• Solid understanding of AWS security fundamentals (IAM, VPC, S3, KMS).

✨ Nice to Have

• AI red-teaming experience (jailbreaking, prompt-injection testing).
• Experience with AI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act).
• Fintech compliance context (PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2).
