💼 About This Role

You'll own security end-to-end at a fast-growing AI data startup, building the program from the ground up. You'll partner with engineering, product, and legal to embed security into cloud infrastructure and data pipelines, while earning trust with AI companies and data partners. This hands-on leadership role reports to the VP of Engineering and is key to shaping how we protect training data.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Mature the Security & Compliance Program, audit and improve existing controls.
• Protect the data pipeline lifecycle: ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and code-level security assessments.
• Lead incident response and evaluate/deploy security tooling.
• Translate security risks into business language for executives and customers.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years in security roles, with at least 2 years in leadership.
• Deep technical foundation in architecture, infrastructure, and code review.
• Experience building or maturing security programs at early-stage/growth companies.
• Hands-on experience with HIPAA compliance.
