Description

As an OSP Engineer, you will design and plan outside plant infrastructure for copper and fiber networks, manage budgets, prepare permit packages, and coordinate field activities with municipalities and contractors. Your work ensures efficient and compliant telecom projects.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented with experience in telecommunications infrastructure projects
• Strong background in engineering, permitting, and construction coordination
• Ability to manage budgets and ensure compliance with standards
• Experience with FROGS (CAD), Varasset, and SiteTracker tools
• Travel required for field coordination (mileage reimbursed)

Responsibilities

• Design and plan OSP copper/fiber infrastructure (aerial, buried, conduit)
• Prepare engineering drawings, loop loss calculations, and switch serving area designs
• Develop project budgets, monitor costs, and conduct job inspections
• Prepare and submit permit packages to agencies (Township, County, State, etc.)
• Coordinate field activities with municipal officials and other utilities
