💼 About This Role

You'll design and scale the integration architecture connecting photonic IC and active IC design toolchains at a quantum computing startup. You'll enable automation and reproducibility across schematic capture, layout, simulation, and tape-out flows. This role offers a chance to define API strategy in a fast-paced R&D environment tackling foundational technology.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and standardize APIs for EDA tools, in-house solvers, and CI/CD systems.
• Build and maintain middleware/adapters for tools with inconsistent APIs.
• Implement observability and traceability for reproducibility and auditability.
• Collaborate with device and layout engineers to create platform abstractions.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years software engineering with systems integration focus
• Experience designing and governing REST/gRPC/event-driven APIs
• Strong programming in Python and one backend language (Go, C++, Java, Rust)
• Experience integrating EDA or semiconductor toolchains
