Description

Lead a team of engineers building next-generation detection systems and internal tools for anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance. You will drive detection strategy, case management enablement, and apply AI to improve investigation workflows at Robinhood.

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing engineers in a high-growth technology environment
• Strong technical depth in backend systems with hands-on experience in Golang, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and SQL
• Experience building financial crimes, fraud, compliance, or fintech systems
• Experience designing data-intensive systems including detection platforms or data pipelines
• Working knowledge of machine learning or generative AI concepts

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers (IC3–IC5), setting clear goals and providing feedback
• Build a top-tier tooling experience leveraging AI to streamline workflows and improve analyst efficiency
• Guide onboarding of new financial crimes use cases into case management systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions with Golang, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and SQL
• Partner with operations and engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into technical solutions
