You'll build and scale identity and privacy systems at Ro, a direct-to-patient healthcare company. You'll design distributed systems for authentication, consent, and data governance, ensuring patient trust and business growth. You'll work cross-functionally with security, legal, and marketing teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain privacy-first distributed data and consent management systems.
• Design high-throughput event-driven architectures using Kafka and streaming systems.
• Contribute to authentication and identity systems including user lifecycle and MFA.
• Architect asynchronous data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems or privacy.
• Strong proficiency in Python and production-grade systems.
• Deep experience with streaming platforms like Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience in regulated environments and driving cross-functional initiatives.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with authentication protocols like OAuth and session management.
• Familiarity with privacy-preserving techniques such as anonymization and tokenization.
• Experience using agentic coding tools for development velocity.
