You will lead the Defense Intelligence Integration team, guiding engineers and data scientists to deliver satellite imagery products to large defense customers. Your work enables faster access to Planet's datasets, impacting commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors.

Requirements

• 6+ years of related experience
• 4+ years of management experience with geographically dispersed teams
• Experience delivering data-intensive software products at scale
• Solid understanding of software engineering, statistics, and machine learning
• Experience with distributed cloud computing

Responsibilities

• Guide a team of software engineers and data scientists to deliver successful products
• Mentor, coach, and unblock team members
• Ensure efficient shipping of product improvements and features
• Partner with product management to define strategy and tactical decisions
• Refine team processes for task planning, code reviews, and on-call rotations
